Match Report: B United 0 – 3 Wellington Rec

The second round of the Samuel Gelston’s Whiskey Irish Cup took place at The Millbridge with Wellington Rec as the visitors.

Ballynahinch started slowly with up to 6 first team regulars missing from the starting line up. Stefan Graham made some good saves to keep the score level but it was Wellington who took the lead after a quick counter attack after United came close at the other end.

Shortly after, the visitors doubled their lead with a stunning long range strike.

Wellington added a third in the second half to progress to the next round.

Match Report: Saintfield United III 6 – 0 B United Swifts

With the first team missing a few, so were the Swifts, with a number of players unavailable due to being cup-tied or injured.

It was a difficult afternoon in the Bobby Dalzell Cup for the Swifts against higher league opposition but it was good to see youth team players, Ethan Perkins and Ben Maxwell, making their debut.
