Ballynahinch traveled to Dundonald to face Tullycarnet in the first round of the Clarence Cup.
United had a number of chances with Ian McMullan having an audacious back heel cleared off the line. United’s failure to convert their early chances cost them when Tullycarnet scored three goals in quick succession after sloppy passing and defensive mistake costing them.
United played better in the second half but were unable to make their superiority count and the game petered out into a 3 – 0 defeat as Ballynahinch crashed out of all cup competitions.
A disappointing and under par performance from all involved, United will seek to improve at all costs in their next fixtures.
