It was a tough day all-round for Ballynahinch United.
The first-team travelled to table-topping Shorts FC, and found themselves behind within five minutes.
United couldn’t stem the scoring and it was five by the break.
A better second-half performance, but by no means a good performance, saw Ballynahinch keep it tight until 60 minutes, and then conceded two more late on for a miserable result.
Congratulations to Kyle Nelson who came of the bench to make his first team debut in the scond half.
Kyle Rendall had announced his resignation to the club before kick off and has now stepped away from first team duties. He will remain a part of the Club’s Committee. The Club will now initiate talks to appoint a new manager.
