Club Notes
Preparations continue for the new season with United having played a number of friendly matches against 18th Newtownabbey, Ardglass and Drumaness while the 2nds got their programme up and running with a game against local rivals Ballynahinch Olympic.
This Saturday United entertain a Crusaders Select side at the Millbridge with Kick Off at 2pm. Following the game there will be a BBQ Fund Raiser with admission £5. The club would very much appreciate a good turnout of players and supporters to get the season up and running.
The first game of the season will be a league match at Millbridge on sat 8th August when United entertain local rivals Ballynahinch Olympic. The kick off will be at 2pm and admission will be £3.
Ballynahinch Youth Fundraiser
Ballynahinch Youth are having an informal get together on Saturday evening [27th June 2015] at The Millbridge clubhouse to raise some funds for young Naz who has been selected for the Under 14 Elite squad to play in Spain next week.
The South Belfast youth league put £25,000 into getting the squad to Spain however they ask that the player makes a contribution of their own and this is to help out a little.
Its a big achievement for Naz and we are all really pleased for him so if anyone is available even for a short time they are invited to come down from 7-10.30pm. There will be a quiz and a few other surprises to support this talented young footballer.
Colin Murray takes up new role at Killyleagh
Colin Murray has resigned as Assistant Manager of the 1st team to take on a similar role with Killyleagh YC.
Everyone at the club would like to express their sincere thanks to Colin for all the years hard work and enthusiasm he gave to Ballynahinch United. We wish him well for the future.
AGM
The Clubs AGM is on Tuesday night the 2nd June 2015 at 7:30pm at The Millbridge.
